Submissions

We are open to submissions of already completed novels.  We split the sales price with authors after deducting a half dollar.

Please send only the first page of your novel in the text of an email sent to submissions@zanybooks.com.

Note:  We do not publish science fiction or fantasy.  The exceptions would be 1) novels sets in alternate pasts or presents as with Farthing and Fatherland, 2) novels with a zany element like those of the fictional Kilgore Trout.   

We do not publish porn for porn's sake, though we do publish novels that contain mature passages.

We do not publish romance novels unless they have a zany element (e.g. Eleanor Lipman's work).

Remember, even our horror novels have a zany element.
